RAAF Boeing 707-338C Tanker A20-627 (Side Profile)
This aircraft originally began its life with Qantas in 1968, with the registration VH-EAG. In the same year it became the first 707 to land at Tullamarine, Melbourne.
In December 1974, it was used twice to evacuate nearly 500 people form the aftermath of Cyclone Tracey in Darwin. It ceased with Qantas in 1979, and was sold to the RAAF who assigned the tail number A20-627. It was used with 33 Squadron for transport duties, and later converted to a tanker. It retired in 2001, and was finally scrapped in 2009, however the cockpit was donated to HARS in Albion Park for display.
